A Day at Marin Food Bank
This past Saturday, we spent the day at the Marin Food Bank in San Francisco, in the Potrero Hill neighborhood. The Marin Food Bank’s mission is ambitious and admirable: to eradicate hunger in San Francisco and Marin. One in four San Franciscans is at risk of hunger (a sobering number) and 210,000 local people rely on the food bank as a lifeline.
Volunteers are vital to the food bank’s success in reaching its mission. Volunteering is also a great way to meet members of the community and feel the tangible impact of spending time helping those who are in need.
