Running the NYC Marathon for The Ali Forney Center
This fall, we're running the New York City Marathon. We're proud and excited to be running for the Ali Forney Center, the nation's largest community center for LGBTQ homeless youth. The AFC helps about 1,000 LGBTQ youths every year, providing meals and transitional housing.
Some of you may remember that Rex ran the Boston Marathon for the AFC in 2017. Thanks to you, we raised over $15,000, which translated to directly helping house, feed, and support hundreds of youths. This is a great way to tangibly feel an impact: a $3 donation can provide a day's worth of meals for one member of the AFC community.
Now is a critical time for LGBTQ youth, with discrimination and hate-crimes undergoing a recent uptick. One in four homeless youths is LGBTQ, and AFC is at the forefront of helping these members of our community.

And if you're in New York City, check out AFC volunteer opportunities; we cooked dinner for the Harlem Center and had an awesome time!
See you out on the course in November!
